Breakdancing Makes Its Olympic Debut in Paris 2024
32 Competitors to Battle for Gold in Breaking's Olympic Debut
Breakdancing, also known as breaking or b-boying, will make its Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Games. The event will feature 32 competitors, 16 for each sex, who will battle for gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Team USA's Breaking Events
Team USA will be well-represented in the breaking competition. A total of six athletes, three men and three women, have qualified for the Olympics. The team includes B-boy Victor Montalvo, who is a two-time world champion.
Olympic Qualifier Series
The Olympic Qualifier Series, which will be held in Shanghai and Budapest, will determine the final 80 breakers who will compete in Paris. The top 14 finishers in each event will qualify for the Olympics.
Schedule
The breaking competition at the Paris Olympics will be held from August 9th to 10th, 2024. The men's competition will be held on August 9th, and the women's competition will be held on August 10th.
